In another state... and another... and another...

ROAD TRIP!
...
*yawn*

Courtney and I were in the car for 6 hours to get to Pennsylvania. Now we are headed tomorrow home, where it will take a little over 5 hours.

We've been here all week (mostly the reason why I have not posted as of late) and did so much. For Tuesday we came here and got to our hotel room. It's a HUGE room, actually, it's got a kitchen, then a very spacious living room, then there's a door that leads to a BIG bedroom attached to a nicely sized bathroom. Wednesday my sister competed, Thursday it was a day off and we all ate at a restaurant and went to a cool game room. Friday was the day my sister competed (again). Saturday was really interesting.

We went to HERSHEY PARK! That's right. HERSHEY PARK! It's amazing. There's so many rides, and there's a waterpark, as well. We went on the Comet, a really good roller coaster, a ride where you steer your own cart thing up and down and from side to side, another roller coaster that was making you feel as if you would fly off, and the Scrambler. We also headed to the waterpark where we went around Lazy River three times, also soared down this tube downhill at a slope and then spun around before continuing. I headed to this part of the water park that had two humungo buckets of water on the roof of the place that, once filled, tipped onto the people underneath. It seemed that everywhere you went in that place you ended up soaked. Everyone soaked each other by turning valves, finding secret strings that released water onto unsuspecting passerby, and more.

Then we got a Chocolate Tour when we were finished at the rides section. It was of Hershey's headquarters, and what you did was walk down a staircase onto an area with the floor rotating around, little carts on them that you would sit in as you went around and around, seeing how you make the chocolate... and seeing singing cows. It was amazing.

When in the waterpark, there was a ride that was a lengthy time to wait for where you ride all around the park with a bucket of water in the air, and launch water at those just walking below. There was contraptions on the ground that those down below could time just right to soak the ones going through the park, though.

That is an update for the week. Hope your Summer is amazing!

  2. Hi, Mackenzie and Eliza!

Yeah. I tried Summer reading during the car ride... fell asleep on page 14 of the Once and Future King.

That is LONG, Eliza. :o We took breaks, too. And got into THREE traffic jams. D: Which added up to... from 11:30 to around 7:00... 8 and a half hours or so.
