Canoeing
Now I'm back from my long 3.5 hour canoe ride. My dad, sister and I rented a canoe in Boston (my mom went home shortly after we left on the canoe). Then we put on our life jackets and stepped inside. I brought a camera and took pictures and video on the way. At first, it was extremely exciting. We each had a paddle and were having a great time. Then we began to get tired... progress got slow. Courtney began to raid the cooler we brought along and, instead of paddling, just start eating food and relaxing. My dad was constantly warning us about motor boats coming, and basically EVERY TIME we had to turn the canoe around so that the waves wouldn't flip our boat. There were a few ducks that we fed bread to from our sandwiches, and two dead fish. There were loads of bridges, a snickers wrapper, a floating log, and a couple of docks. After the 2 hours to get to MIT college (we could see the dome building in the distance and we were past it), which was our goal, I took pictures of the Zakim bridge, buildings in MIT and the two tallest buildings of Boston. It took around 1 and 1/2 hours to go back, because we realized how long the travel was and that we should avoid slacking.

ReplyDeleteI don't think I could survive 2 hours in a canoe with my dad and sister
ReplyDeleteHaha. xD We were not too thrilled about being stuck there together after the first 2 hours, actually. :P
