A Trip to the Beach

I went to the beach on Saturday. Now, the other 6 times I visited there this Summer, the water was incredibly calm. On my seventh trip this year (the one mentioned in my first sentence of this post), I was astounded. The waves were huge and toppling over my dad, sister and I so much we could barely walk in without being pushed to the shore. I was submerged for at least 5 seconds on one particularly large wave, and another hit me so hard it felt like a punch. While in the water, if you made it that far, wave after wave piled on top of you. It constantly went into our noses and mouths. When away from the water, the loud wind blowing and hollering non-stop made it hard to hear. It also was picking up many small grains of sand, which shot at us and stung briefly all over our bodies. Continuously.

In other words, IT WAS AWESOME. :D We were body-surfing to shore, playing games where we had to dodge oncoming water from the shore, and taking loads of video, covering ourselves with towels to stop the sand from hitting us. Best trip evah!
